NAC flies to Mumbai

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has resumed its service in Kathmandu-Mumbai sector.

Its Airbus A320 flew to Mumbai on Friday afternoon carrying 52 passengers after a gap of 11 years. From now on, the national flag carrier will be making two flights a week to Mumbai on Mondays and Fridays.

In a bid to attract passengers, it has also been selling tickets at promotional rate of Rs 11,109, including tax (one-way) and Rs 22,049 for both ways.

NAC has stated that the service which was terminated earlier due to lack of aircraft, has been resumed targeting Indian religious tourists, businessmen, entrepreneurs and tourists coming to Nepal from a third country via India.
