KATHMANDU:

A team of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) led by its president Surendra Bir Malakar met with Tsutomu Hiraoka, Japanese envoy to Nepal, on Sunday. On the occasion, the envoy stressed on the need of proactive role of private sector in socio-economic development endeavours. He also said that there needs to be flexible policies and conducive environment to attract foreign direct investment, states a NCC press release. NCC president requested Japan to help promote Lumibini as religious tourist destination.
