Ncell ‘Digital Jam’

KATHMANDU: Ncell on Thursday organised ‘Digital Jam’ day, involving all its employees to explore and scale up their digital talents with an aim to be more agile and more relevant in serving the customers and enhancing customer experience.

Digital Jam was a day-long online and offline learning event targeted in developing a digital mindset, experimenting with new ways of working and running projects focusing on agility, data and the needs of customers, as per a press statement.

All Ncell employees participated in a range of activities, experimented with and made solutions with digital tools, including development of chatbots and mobile apps, practices and language around digital.

Ncell Digital Jam was organised as a part of Axiata Group Berhad’s initiative to fast-track its digital talent transformation, which culminated into Asia’s largest employee online activation event across six markets — Ncell (Nepal), Robi (Bangladesh), Dialog (Sri Lanka), Celcom (Malaysia), Smart (Cambodia) and XL (Indonesia) — in ASEAN and South Asia.

The event galvanised 12,000 employees of the six operations of Axiata.

To holistically drive digital talent building exercise, Axiata has announced its commitment to invest $6 million over the next three years to scale up existing digital expertise and provide critical digital development and capacity building for all its employees across all levels and roles.
