Ncell fined for providing services sans permission
KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), the autonomous body to regulate all matters related to telecommunications, has taken action against the private telecom company Ncell for providing call centre services without permission.
The NTA spokesperson Min Prasad Aryal said that the action was taken as per the clause 47 (2) of the Telecommunication Act, 1997 for providing telecommunications services to 29 call centers through session initiation protocol (SIP).
He said that the NTA directed the Ncell to pay Rs 500,000 in fine as per the law and close the services being provided illegally.
