KATHMANDU: Customers can now make voice calls at a more affordable rate from their main balance.

Ncell Axiata Ltd on Sunday reduced the tariff of local calls, standardising per minute rate to flat Rs 1.62 excluding taxes for making calls on any network across the country.

This new rate of pay as you go (PAYG) voice service has come into effect on Sunday. Prior to this reduction, the voice call charge to any local network from Ncell was Rs 1.99 per minute excluding applicable taxes, as per a media release.

With the implementation of this new rate, customers will be able to make local on-net and off-net calls at Rs 2.05 per minute including applicable taxes, down from the previous Rs 2.52 per minute.

Ncell has stated that the new flat call rate adds great value for customers to stay connected, enabling them to take benefit from longer on-net and off-net voice calls without any package.
