NEA Tanahun to get Rs 8.6m

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Tanahun branch, is yet to collect more than Rs 8.6 million as electricity charge.
According to the NEA branch, Rs 3.16 million has to be collected from GDP, Rs 95,500 from business houses, Rs 1.32 million from non-business organisations, and Rs 3.263 million from industries.
Similarly, it has to collect Rs 1.5 million from road lamps, Rs 49,704 from drinking water supply and Rs 8227 from temples.
Khem Raj Wagle, acting chief of NEA, said that the authority has been unable to do its work quickly due to lack of employees.
He stated that a letter from the centre had come stating that the amount to be collected from government offices until the month of Jestha would be tallied from the collection centre and the remaining arrears would have to be paid by the offices themselves. Total collection of NEA Tanahun in the last fiscal was Rs 56.464 million.
