KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 2

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in tourism promotion and aviation services.

The agreement, inked on Mangsir 16 at NAC's central office in New Road, was signed by NAC Executive Director Amritman Shrestha and NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi in the presence of senior officials from both agencies.

The MoU aims to enhance long-term collaboration by leveraging tourism and aviation as key components of national development. Under the arrangement, NAC will provide discounted air tickets on its routes for NTB officials and staff participating in promotional activities. NTB, meanwhile, will offer stall space to Nepal Airlines at domestic and international promotional events.

Both institutions will coordinate joint marketing campaigns, familiarization trips, brand-promotion activities, and market outreach programmes to strengthen Nepal's visibility in global tourism markets.

Officials believe the partnership will help energize Nepal's tourism sector by boosting passenger numbers, expanding markets, diversifying destinations, and enhancing Nepal's international image. As the national flag carrier, NAC continues to strengthen Nepal's air connectivity, while NTB works to establish the country as an attractive global destination, the NAC statement stated.
