KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has asked the government to make sure that banks and financial institutions are open even during public holidays.

Issuing a press statement on Friday, NCC said that numerous public holidays in the country have been affecting the entire economy and will ultimately hamper economic growth rate.

Similarly, NCC also said that a large number of public holidays will reduce industrial output of the country and promote import of products.
