Nepal-Europe Travel Summit concludes

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has successfully completed the Europe Sales Mission 2017. The sales mission titled ‘Nepal-Europe Travel Summit 2017’ was held in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich in Germany, Prague in Czech Republic and Warsaw in Poland from March 14 to 22, as per a media release.

The mission was a continued promotional effort of NTB after the fruitful presence at the world’s biggest travel show ‘ITB 2017’.

In every session with the media and tour operators, NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi, replying to their queries and concerns, highlighted mainly three things — about the recent positive changes in Nepal’s tourism with new development and trends, about Nepal being back and open for business to all, and about the change on stereotyped Nepal’s image confined to hardcore adventure, trekking and mountains whereas Nepal has a lot more to offer.

NTB also organised ‘Destination Education Workshop’ for selected tour operators interested to sell Nepal.

A total of 62 tour operators and travel professionals were educated by giving them a brief insight on recent facts, new destinations and tourism attractions, new trends in visitors’ choice and on how to connect and sell Nepal to maximise their benefit. Second part of programme was business session where 13 firms from Nepal interacted with the local tour operators in each place.
