Nepal gets huge success at Dhaka Travel Mart

Nepali travel trade entrepreneurs, along with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) took part at Dhaka Travel Mart (DTM) held from March 4-6 at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel in Bangladesh. Nepal received an overwhelming response during its first ever participation at the three-day long event, according to NTB. NTB, with Cosmic Air as a partner airline, Nepal Recreation Centre along with other private travel trade sector participants - Marco Polo Travels and Royal Singi Hotel also took part at the event. Altogether 42 organisations from 15 countries took part at the Dhaka Travel Mart-2005 organised by the leading travel magazine The Bangladesh Monitor NTB, Bangladesh Parjatan Corp, Tourism Malaysia, Biman Bangladesh, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, United Arab Emirates, Qatar Airways, Druk Air, Dragon Air as well as various hotels, tour operators and travel agents from Bangladesh presented their products and services with attractive packages and offers to the tourists. Organised with a view to promote and explore the potential of tourism industry in the region, the mart, being Bangladesh’s biggest travel trade show, was able to attract the prominent travel tour operators, media and the prospective travellers. As a part of the tourism promotion mission in Bangladesh, NTB also organised a press conference on March 1.
