Nepal Open from today

Nepal Golf Association is organising the sixth Nepal Amateur Open under the auspices of Mountain Sports Federation here at the Gokarna Golf Club from Tuesday.

A total of 62 players from Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan will take part in the tournament that has been divided into two categories — individual and team events. While the individual event will be played over 54 holes, the team event will end on second day. Four teams — one each from Bangladesh and Bhutan and two from Nepal — will vie for the team trophy, said NGA in a release. Cut for the individual section will be applied after 36 holes. Tanka Karki and Tashi Tshiring are in Nepal ‘A’ team, while Prithivi Malla and Shivaraj Majhi are in Nepal ‘B’.

Likewise, Tsendra Dorjee and Dechen Ugyan will represent Bhutan, while Kabar Hoshain and Mohammad Ripon are in Bangladeshi team.
