KATHMANDU: Nepali athlete Dil Maya Karki finished disappointing seventh in the 400m race at the 15th IAAF World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China on Monday.

Karki, who holds the national record of 58.5 in 400m race, completed the distance in one minute and 0.99 seconds to finish last among seven participants in heats. Karki was selected for the championship on the basis of her performance in the 40th National Championship where she had won four golds and a silver medal.
