Nepali business team visits China

Kathmandu, August 26 :

A six member Nepali business delegation, accompanying deputy prime minister and foreign minister K P Sharma Oli, left for Lhasa of Tibet Autonomous Region, today.

The delegation led by Chandi Raj Dhakal, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) will represent the Nepali private sector during the deputy prime minister’s week-long official vi-sit to China, states a press r-elease issued by the FNCCI.

The delegation includes Kush Kumar Joshi, second vice-president of FNCCI, Surendra Bir Malakar, president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), Gyanendra Lal Pradhan, member of IPPAN, Basanta Kumar Chaudhary, director of Norvic Escorts International Hospital and women entrepreneur Anjan Shakya.

The business team will discuss bilateral trade, investment and private sector relations with the Chinese senior officials, including foreign minister, state cou-ncillors, commerce minister and president of National Tourism Administration.

The FNCCI team will also hold talks with the officials of All China Federation of Industry and Commerce and discuss various activities of Nepal-China Non-governmental Cooperation Forum, including bilateral economic expansion, investment and tourism promotion, foreign direct investment as well as technology transfer.

The team is scheduled to sign an accord on air cargo inspection system, which China will be providing as a grant. The team will also visit China’s telecom manufacturing base in Shenzen Special Economic Zone.
