The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index advanced by 1.43 per cent or 42.72 points to a fresh all-time high of 3,025.82 points on Monday.

Sensitive index jumped 1.97 per cent or 10.6 points to 550.01 points, while float index closed at 210.21 points, up 1.68 per cent or 3.48 points.

Altogether 35.03 million shares of 221 companies were traded through 175,411 transactions that amounted to Rs 18.88 billion, the second-highest on record. Seven of the subgroups recorded gains, while six landed in the red.
