KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the sole secondary market of the country lost 59.57 points to close at 2690.29 points, marking a 2.017 per cent decline, on Thursday.

The benchmark index has continued to fall since the reopening of the stock market after Tihar festival.

The index had dropped19.20 points on Monday while it fell 79.79 points on Tuesday before being closed for Chhath festival on Wednesday.

Both the sensitive and float indexes were down today, with the sensitive index down 10.63 points, or 2.07 per cent, to 502.20 points.

At the end of the day, the float index had dropped 4.17 points, or 2.18 per cent, to 184.26 points.

All the sub-indices saw red yet again with the life insurance index leading the pack of loosers with 316.40 points followed by the Non life insurance index with 293.73 point loss.

The daily turnover on today's market was similarly lower, with a total of 9,475,936 units of shares from 225 companies traded for Rs 5.119 billion.

Monday's daily turnover was Rs 4.420 billion, while Tuesday's was Rs 6.527 billion.

Following the stock transaction market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.783 trillion.
