KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 13
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), continued to drop on the second trading day of the week with the benchmark index dropping 79.57 points to 2281.67 points, a 3.37 per cent drop.
The index had lost 88.70 points on Sunday.
The sensitive index and the float index were both in the red today, with the sensitive index falling to 437.59 points, a decline of 12.47 points or 2.77 percent. The float index also dropped to 156.54 points, a drop of 5.47 points or 3.38 percent.
All of the subindices in the market were in negative zone, with the non-life insurance index leading the way with a decrease of 545.98 points, followed by the life insurance index with a decline of 425.33 points.
Today, the country's sole secondary market saw 9,679,072 units of shares from 233 companies traded at Rs. 3.995 billion.
At the end of the day, the total market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.207 trillion.
