KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 22

The NEPSE index rose by 11.58 points today, marking the first day of share transactions for the week.

With this increase, the market closed at 2,588.35 points. NEPSE reported that over 12.48 million shares from 325 companies were traded, with a total transaction volume exceeding Rs 5.9 billion.

On Sunday, all sectors except finance, hotels, production, microfinance, and mutual funds saw a rise in the share market. Eastern Hydropower, Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Upper Sangee Hydropower hit positive circuits, while Rawa Energy Development experienced the steepest loss, dropping 8.65 percent.

Based on transaction value, CEDB Hydropower Development Company led the trading with Rs 278 million in trades, according to NEPSE.
