KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 27

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, the country's lone secondary market, fell 73.05 points to 2,685.42, indicating a 2.65 per cent loss, on Monday.

The sensitive index and float index both fell, with the sensitive index closing at 506.33 points, going down by 12.94 points or 2.49 per cent.

Meanwhile, the float index dropped by 5.24 points, or 2.70 per cent, to 188.96 points.

Today's market saw a total of 10,478,068 units of shares from 227 companies traded for Rs 5.120 billion.

The market capitalisation was Rs 3.759 trillion after the day's share transactions.

Meanwhile, all of the sub-indices in today's market lost money, with the non-life insurance index and the life insurance index leading the pack with 439.28 and 437.17 points, respectively.

Only three scrips climbed in today's market, while the remaining 182 scrips dropped.
