KATHMANDU, JUNE 11

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 33.15 points or 1.59% on Tuesday, settling at 2,115.24 points by the end of the trading day.

Along with the increase in the benchmark index, the sensitive index, which evaluates the performance of class 'A' stocks, increased by 1.13%. The float index, which gauges actively traded shares, also rose by 1.79%.

Today's market saw significant gains across various sectors. The Hydropower sector gained 2.58%, the Life Insurance sector 2.40%, Non-Life Insurance 2.19%, Finance 2.16%, and the Trading sector 2.12%.

Investor sentiment was notably positive, with four companies-Barun Hydropower Co. Ltd. (BARUN), Green Venture Limited (GVL), Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited (KBSH), and Bhagawati Hydropower Development Company Limited (BGWT)-each gaining 10%.

The positive market sentiment also influenced the daily turnover, which recorded Rs 5.5 billion from the trading of 12,665,329 units of shares of 311 companies in 74,877 transactions.

The total market capitalization stood at Rs 3.354 trillion today.
