The NEPSE index concluded today's trading session at a level of 2,186.36, marking a remarkable increase of 56.94 points compared to the previous closing. This represents a gain of 2.67%. The index had recorded a gain of 11.69 points yesterday.
At the beginning of the day, the index opened at 2,132.61 and reached its lowest point at 2,132.48. However, it soared to a peak of 2,186.68 before ultimately settling at 2,186.36.
A total of 275 scrips were traded through 80,398 transactions, resulting in the exchange of 13,107,080 shares valued at Rs. 5.47 Arba in turnover. This figure surpasses the turnover of Rs. 5.31 Arba recorded during the previous trading day.
Among the traded shares, Swabalamban Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWBBL) boasted the highest turnover of Rs. 25.12 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 934 per share. Shares of SHL were the most actively traded.
Nearly thirty scrips experienced a positive circuit today, indicating a notable surge in their values.
In contrast, Sikles Hydropower Limited (SIKLES) suffered the highest decline of 3.88% in today's trading.
Three sector indices concluded the day in negative territory, with the "Microfinance" index showing the most significant increase of 8.96%, while the "Trading" index registered the highest loss of 0.66%.
