Vice-President of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) Sunil KC met with the Foreign Affairs Chief of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Bijaya Chauthaiwale, in New Delhi today.

According to press statement, discussions were held focusing on Nepal-India economic relations by increasing Indian investment in Nepal's energy, cross-border power transmission lines and other infrastructure.

Likewise, Vice-President KC also requested the private sector investors of both Nepal and India to be involved in major projects of Nepal which would require huge investment.

He also requested for support in the expansion of entrepreneurship by establishing Nepal-India Entrepreneurship Centre in Nepal.

He also said that it was necessary to promote the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model by investing in large scale hydropower projects and infrastructure projects with the participation of the public investment bodies of Nepal and India, and private sector investors from both the countries.

Meanwhile, BJP's Foreign Affairs Chief Chauthaiwale assured, on behalf of party, to scale up Indian investment in major projects in Nepal.
