KATHMANDU: Nepal Life Insurance Co (NLIC), the most trusted life insurance company of the country, has paid a claim of Rs 6.425 million.
Insured Nara Bahadur Saud, resident of Tikapur Municipality-01, Kailali, passed away due to cancer on April 29. During an event organised in Tikapur, NLIC Chief Executive Officer Praveen Raman Parajuli handed over a cheque of Rs 6.425 million to Gyanu Devi Saud, the wife of the deceased, as per a press statement.
Saud had taken out a life insurance plan of five million rupees from NLIC's Tikapur branch office on August 29, 2018.
The cheque for Rs 6.425 million included five million rupees as insurance and Rs 1.425 million as bonus.
