Nokia appoints its authorised dealers

Kathmandu, May 30:

Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications devices, has made its debut in Nepal by appointing its authorised distributor and unveiling plans for its business promotion here.

Announcing the official launch of Nokia in Nepal, Prem Prakash Chand, general manager, Emerging Asia, said that Nokia would provide exceptional consumer experience to the Nepali customers with high standards and quality that the company advocates and adheres globally.

“Being the world leader in mobile telecommunication devices and the most preferred brand in Asia, it requires well understanding of the markets that we operate in as well as having a culture of taking care of partners and customers,” he added.

Chand also informed that Nokia offers consumers a rich choice of devices from its portfolio that gives them the right balance of technology and design that is affordable, reliable and functional.

Nokia has a range of devices that match the needs and desires of any mobile phone user around the world.

“Nokia will continue to be an industry leader in innovation, creativity and design of mobile devices. We are committed to building an efficient and viable ecosystem for the industry in Nepal. So that we can provide mobility solutions for the consumers,” he added.

Chand also expressed the concern about grey and illegal market that currently dominate 90 per cent of the market in Nepal, denying the government of revenue and also depriving value to the consumers.

“Nokia will be looking at ways to work together with its partners and the regulators to address the concern,” he said.

Nokia also announced the appointment of Neotric Nepal and Paramount Electronics Pvt Ltd as its authorised distributors for Nepal.

Neotric is a member of Golchha Organisation and deals with distribution and marketing of leading information, communication and entertainment technology (ICET) products and services.

While, the Paramount Electronics is a subsidiary of Vishal Group and is involved in distribution of branded consumer electronics, mobility and ICT products.
