NRA CEO donates to Dharahara fund
KATHMANDU: Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction Authority Sushil Gyawali has donated a month’s salary, amounting to Rs 48,770, to the Dharahara Reconstruction Fund. Gyawali donated the money to the Fund that has been initiated under the ‘I will construct Dharahara’ campaign. The campaign was launched for the reconstruction of the historic monument that was completely damaged in the April 25 earthquake. Gyawali said that the Capital had lost its identity with the collapse of Dharahara, adding that the Fund had been established so that Nepalis from across the world could contribute funds to the reconstruction of Dharahara. This, he stated, would help people get a feeling of ownership of the historic monument. It would also send a positive message of the reconstruction activities that the government was undertaking, he added. Previously, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had also donated a month’s salary to the Fund.
