NRL completes first year

KATHMANDU:

National Reference Laboratory (NRL) has completed one year of operation. In the period of one year, NRL has performed more than 60,000 tests on 21,000 people. It has already established a working network with more than 46 clinics, nursing homes, hospitals and other organisations and referrals were made from 446 various sources, states a press release issued today. Alongwith expert Dr John Savory from the University of Virginia, three other experts have played a key role to maintain the QA programme of NRL. At present more than 250 tests are conducted at NRL and its infrastructure is being developed as per the recommendation of doctors.
