KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 14

A high-level delegation from the Embassy of Austria in New Delhi, including the Ambassador of Austria to Nepal, Katharina Wieser met with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) today and discussed various topics of Nepal's overall tourism and crisis management alongside talks for future cooperation for crisis management between the two sides.

On the occasion, NTB CEO Dhananjaya Regmi informed the visiting party about the policies and programmes undertaken by Nepal in the terms of crisis management and tourism.

"The board is working on crisis management in coordination and cooperation with various agencies of the Nepal government and organisations related to tourism to assist in solving problems faced by tourists visiting the country, '' he said, adding that the two countries share a mutual natural diversity and stressed the need for mutual opinions and advocacy on the effects of climate change.

Ambassador of Austria to Nepal Wieser opined that it is necessary to share the experiences of both countries in such matters adding that crisis management is an important task in tourism.

Honorary Consul to Austria Rajesh Babu Shrestha, various high officials of the Austrian government, senior directors of the board, directors, and tourist police, among others, participated in the programme.
