NTB, NTV sign agreement

Kathmandu, January 6:
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Television (NTV) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote and create awareness about domestic tourism.
Tek Bahadur Dangi, chief executive officer (CEO) at NTB and Durga Nath Sharma, general manager at NTB signed the MoU representing their organisation.
Promoting tourist destination is also the part of the MoU signed today.
According to the MoU, Nepal Television will produce and air programmes that will help in promoting domestic tourism. These programmes will be aired as ‘Desh Darshan’ which is a partnership project between NTB and NTV.
Studio based talk, interaction and conference programme that will help in increasing domestic tourism will also be produced. NTV will also air feature documentaries of 30 minutes each to promote new destinations. The telecast will also highlights the trends, achievements and challenges in tourism field. An agreement has also been reached between NTB and NTV to work together to disseminate tourism news about Nepal through various international news agencies that NTV has ties with.
