NTYA organises talk show
Kathmandu, March 17
National Tourism Youth Association (NTYA) with Here We Go Nepal Destination Management Company has organised the ‘Grand Tourism Talk Show’ programme at Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management College (NATHM).
During the programme, State Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bal Bahadur Mahat said that during the massive earthquake, the wrong message regarding the damage to the cultural heritage and tourism sector was shown by different media, which has sent a negative message to the world, as there are still many sites which are safe to visit.
According to him, different funds and aid provided by different national and international non-governmental organisations have been misused for personal interest rather than for reconstruction, as per a press statement issued today.
NTYA President Shishir Uprety said the association is actively involved in tourism activities like tourist destination cleaning campaign, and documentary shows, among others.
The talk show was also participated by Director General of Department of Tourism Durga Datta Dhakal, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board Deepak Raj Joshi and Member Secretary of Pashupati Development Committee Govinda Tondon, among other tourism stakeholders.
NTYA, with support of Here We Go Nepal Destination Management Company, will launch the first sight-seeing tour within Kathmandu as SIC (Seat In Coach) from April. NTYA will also work for the development of Tourist Safety Application.
