PAF a boon for 53,539 families

DHANGADHI:

Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) has benefited 53,539 families in seven districts of the country’s far western development region.

At a press conference held here yesterday, PAF director Raju Babu Shrestha said that the fund has invested Rs 870 million so far in programmes for income generation, community infrastructure development and capacity building.

He said Dalits, Janajatis, women and backward people are engaged in need assessment, and programme management. PAF programmes launched three years ago in the region have been implemented in 185 VDCs of Darchula, Baitadi, Bajhang, Bajura, Achham, Doti and Dadeldhura. PAF is active in 25 districts of the country. — RSS
