PARSA: Due to the government’s inability to bring self-employment oriented programmes, youth in Parsa district are leaving for Gulf countries. Non-availability of jobs and business opportunities has encouraged more youth to opt for foreign employment in Qatar, Saudi Arab, Dubai and Malaysia. After Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, an increasing number of youth have started applying for passports. “Around 50 youths come for passports everyday,” said Bishnu Lal Karna, passport section chief at the District Administration Office. The number was half earlier, he said.
