Property transactions rise 4.74 percent in FY 2025/26

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 15

Real estate transactions in Nepal surged to Rs 720.86 billion in the last fiscal year, according to the Economic Research Department of Nepal Rastra Bank.

The department said property transactions increased by 4.74 percent in fiscal year 2025/26 (2082/83), reversing a 1.84 percent decline recorded in the previous fiscal year.

Real estate transactions totalled Rs 386.15 billion in FY 2024/25 (2081/82), according to the central bank.

The latest data indicate a significant recovery in property market activity during the last fiscal year.
