KATHMANDU: Hoteliers have said that the obstruction in the Muglin-Narayangadh road section has hit hotel businesses in the region and urged the government to reopen the road section as soon as possible.

Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) — the umbrella organisation representing domestic hotels — said occupancy and bookings in hotels and resorts along Muglin-Narayangadh, including Sauraha of Chitwan, has gone down drastically following the road obstruction.

“The road section should be opened soon as delays in resuming the route will not only hamper hotel businesses in this region but will also the overall tourism industry,” HAN statement reads.
