Roca to change bathroom experience in Nepal

Kathmandu, April 17

Roca Bathroom Products Pvt Ltd, India, a subsidiary of Spain-based Roca Group, is going to launch its new combination of Beyond and Carmen bathroom products in Nepal soon.

The Beyond range will have the latest technologies in the design of bathroom products while Carmen will pay tribute to the past with the redesign of an iconic model from Roca’s centenary history, said K E Ranganathan, managing director of Roca Bathroom Products Pvt Ltd, India.

“Just two months back we launched our Beyond and Carmen bathroom products in Europe and soon the products will be introduced in Nepali market too,” he said. Along with the latest technologies, the company has a target to grow aggressively in Nepal.

As per Ranganathan, Parryware products under Roca have 20 per cent share in the Nepali market. Parryware has been in the Nepali market since the last 50 years and will continue to grow with new innovative products that will be affordable for all kinds of consumers, he said.

“We have four categories of bathroom products with similar features, hence consumers can buy those products that they can afford,” he said, adding, “Laufen, Roca, Parryware and Johnson Pedder are our different product brands that consumers can choose from.” He further said that the Nepali market is a very important market for Roca as Nepal has consumers for all four categorical brands.

“Compared to 2018 our sales are increasing by 30 per cent this year.”

Recently, Roca launched five new Parryware outlets in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Butwal. Currently, there are around 500 outlets of Parryware across the country.

Ranganathan further said that Roca products are technology oriented, design oriented and hygiene oriented and most importantly save water too. “The newness in our products is what makes our products popular among consumers,” he claimed.

Ranganathan who has 33 years of experience in finance, accounting, business planning, strategy and marketing, further said that customer satisfaction is all that a company needs to focus on. “Thirty years back people bought bathroom products only out of necessity but today consumers are more conscious and are demanding products that are easy to handle,” he said, adding, “To address these changing demands we are soon launching Bluetooth showers, one-piece shower and bowl basins.”

With a management mantra of customer centricity, generating demand, innovation, collaboration among workers and culture of cost management, Roca will continue to have a lion’s share in the Nepali market in the future, Ranganathan added.
