Royal Singi Hotel cancels bookings till August-end
KATHMANDU: The Royal Singi Hotel — a four-star hotel in Kathmandu — has cancelled all its bookings till August this year citing the hotel is assessing the damages caused by the devastating earthquake of April 25 and subsequent powerful aftershocks.
The hotel management has also informed the Department of Tourism (DoT) that it has halted its operation due to maintenance works being carried out, according to Kosh Nath Adhikari, technical director of DoT and the coordinator of the inspection team.
The hotel has yet to complete the detailed assessment but based on the preliminary assessment, the management of the hotel has informed that they are planning to bring the hotel into operation from September 1 this year.
