KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 23

Smart Choice Technologies Limited (SCT), a payment system operator licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, has formally launched its Corporate Internet Banking service in collaboration with Swift Technologies.

The service has been introduced targeting corporate clients ranging from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and mid-corporate businesses to large companies. Through the new platform, users can carry out financial transactions using features such as hierarchical approval mechanisms, single and bulk uploads, maker-checker processes, bill payments, salary management, and fund transfers.

According to SCT, the service also offers a user-friendly interface, simple configuration menus, and customizable features tailored to business needs, enabling clients to manage their financial operations more efficiently and securely.

Global IME Bank Limited has become the first bank in Nepal to adopt the Corporate Internet Banking service. The bank is offering the service to its customers under the name Biznex, providing corporate and business clients with a faster, safer, and more streamlined digital banking experience. The platform is expected to enhance automation, transparency, and workflow management in financial transactions, strengthening the bank's overall service delivery.

SCT currently issues SCT–UnionPay and VISA cards through 23 banks and financial institutions and more than 100 cooperative institutions across the country. In addition to card services, SCT provides Smart QR, Smart Pay–IBFT (inter-bank fund transfer), Smart Banking mobile banking, and other digital payment solutions to banks and financial institutions.

The Smart Banking service, which SCT has been operating for the past three years, has evolved into a retail omni-channel platform, allowing customers to access multiple banking services through a single interface. The company said millions of users at home and abroad are currently using the service, helping make everyday financial transactions simpler, safer, and more reliable.
