SEJON-FNCCI MoU on work ethics
KATHMANDU: FNCCI will propose a ‘No work, no pay’ system to cope with the loss that Nepali industries are facing due to frequent bandh programmes.
“Deteriorating situation of business in Nepal is a result of the frequent bandhs and strikes announced by political leaders and trade unions,” said FNCCI president Kush Kumar Joshi while signing the MoU between SEJON and FNCCI here today.
He added that apart from it, the problem of load shedding has also decreased the overall production ratio which is directly hitting industries hard.
After signing the MoU, SEJON president Narayan Sapkota said that the relationship between the two organizations should be mutual, adding that he was hopeful that FNCCI would play a vital role in developing the ability of the business journalists. Adding to the statement, Joshi expressed his commitment to back up SEJON and in turn hoped that business journalists would bring business news to the people as it would develop competitiveness amongst the business circle in one hand.
“In the present context when Nepali people are going abroad in search of employment opportunities, it is time that the government understood its responsibilities,” said Joshi.
He added that if this situation continued then Nepali industries would not be able to pay
their taxes to the government. The government should be responsible towards the industries regarding security matters, he added.
