SINGAPORE: Singapore and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have agreed to start negotiations for a free trade agreement, the city-state said on Saturday as prime minister Lee Hsien Loong made his first visit to the Middle East. The GCC Secretariat and the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry made the announcement during Lee’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
