Sita Air gets third aircraft

Kathmandu, September 10:

Sit Air, a private airline operating domestic flights, has added one more aircraft to its fleet by acquiring a 19-seater Dornier 228-202K aircraft.

The new plane is the third aircraft that the airline has acquired to add to its current fleet of two Dornier 228-202K aircrafts. The new aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport today at 6.30pm. The German made Dornier aircrafts are said to be one of the most reliable and easy to handle aircrafts in its category fitted with twin turbo prop Dash-10 engines, said Sailesh Shrestha of Sita Air. The Dornier aircrafts are capable of landing at 35 out of the 45 airfields in Nepal. It is a STOL aircraft, certified for both passenger and cargo operations.
