ITAHARI: Small businessmen have protested the government’s latest tax policy, saying that they are being inconvenienced. At a programme in Dharan on Wednesday, members of the Nepal Small Entrepreneurs’ Organisation complained that the new tax policy had hit them hard and said that if the government failed to revise the tax rate they would have to shut their businesses. The policy bin-ds small businessmen to have own separate accounts and procure licenses for selling tobacco and liquor.
