RAJBIRAJ: An Armed Police Force patrol seized seven quintals of smuggled sugar from Itahari’s Bishnupur VDC on Wednesday. The sugar was being smuggled from India on bicycles. The APF patrol handed over the sugar to Rajbiraj Customs Office. The smugglers managed to flee. On Tuesday, YCL cadres seized 37 sacks of cement being smuggled in from India. YCL cadres handed over the seized cement to the Koshi Customs Office at Koshi Barrage. The cement was being brought from Bhimnagar of India on a truck allegedly owned by ex-chairman of Bhardaha VDC Pawan Kumar Mandal.
