Task force begins work on ‘land bank’

Kathmandu, April 6:

The Task Force in charge of setting up the government-proposed ‘land bank’ has recently started work on it by forming a seven member committee.

The Himalayan Times, on March 22, had run a story on the plan to establish land bank by the end of this current fiscal year. The initial amount earmarked for the study on land bank stands at Rs 50 million.

Talking to The Himalayan Times today, spokesperson at the ministry of land reforms, Man K Shrestha confirmed that work on the land bank concept has already been started.
