Kathmandu, March 3:

The much awaited third Fokker 100 to join the Cosmic Air fleet has finally landed in Kathmandu yesterday. “The new jet aircraft will start operating from 15th March, states a press release issued here. In the short span of time of its introduction of the Fokker 100 in the domestic sector and its venture into the International Operations to New Delhi and Dhaka, Cosmic Air flies today as the largest operator to New Delhi and the largest carrier of passengers to and from New Delhi.

With the arrival of the new Fokker 100, the other two Fokker 100 jet aircraft currently in the fleet will then be scheduled for their ‘A’ checks — one at a time, further states the release. A third frequency will be added to the twice-daily flights to New Delhi, further strengthening Cosmic’s position as the largest operator to Delhi. Cosmic Air will thus be the only airline that will be operating three times a day to New Delhi, giving passengers an unbeatable choice of flights to the capital of India.

In addition, the Fokker 100 will be operating to Pokhara as well, after having carried out a successful test flight recently. Frequency to other domestic sectors and new sectors, including Bhadrapur, are in the offing. This will greatly increase total tourist and local traffic, like it has done in other domestic and regional sectors and bring about a growth of air traffic in the region, states the release.
