With an aim of strengthening bilateral ties between Nepal and the Republic of Korea, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) Sudan Kirati Rai and Tae-Young Park, the ambassador of South Korea to Nepal, held a meeting at the ministry today.
During the meeting, several crucial topics were brought to the table, with a focus on enhancing cooperation and addressing pertinent matters between thetwo nations.
One of the key discussions centred around the establishment of Nepal Airlines' direct flights to South Korea. Both parties expressed interest in exploring new air travel opportunities that would facilitate seamless connectivity and promote tourism and trade between the two countries.
Another critical issue that took centre stage was the welfare of Nepali workers seeking employment in South Korea through the EPS (employment permit system). They deliberated on providing enhanced facilities and ensuring the safety and well-being of Nepali workers throughout the employment process.
This initiative aims to safeguard the rights and interests of Nepali migrants and create a more conducive environment for their overseas employment.
Both of them expressed their commitment to fostering meaningful cooperation and friendship between the two nations, encompassing various sectors such as trade, investment, education and cultural exchange.
