Two Chinese firms vie for NT’s LTE project

KATHMANDU: Two Chinese technology firms ZTE and China Communication Service International (CCSI) have applied for Nepal Telecom’s 4G LTE (EUTRAN) project.

Nepal Telecom (NT) had earlier invited proposals for supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of 4G LTE (EUTRAN) Network-I and Network-II projects.

While Network-I covers Nepal’s central and mid-western parts,Network-II project covers eastern, western and far-western regions.

As per NT sources, ZTE has proposed to complete Network-I project at $99.89 million and CSSI has quoted $84.76 million.

Similarly, CSSI has stated it would complete Network-II project at $82.21 million while ZTE has quoted $88.96 for the same.
