UTL announces Teej festival offer

Kathmandu, August 26 :

On the occasion of Teej festival, United Telecom Ltd (UTL) has launched a special discount scheme in the Kathmandu valley for a period of three days, beginning from August 26.

According to UTL, a customer is required to pay Rs 1616 (including Rs 1500 ownership tax) upfront to get a telephone connection with a phone set.

“The phone will have mobility in the Kathmandu valley and the balance amount can be paid in easy monthly installments of Rs 333, Rs 191 or Rs 144 for 10, 20 or 30 months respectively,” states a press release issued here by the company today.

The customers have also been given an option of paying upfront under which one can avail the total connection (inclusive of all taxes and a mobile handset) for Rs 4,444. In addition to that, customers would be given a discount of Rs 200 per month on monthly rental charge and would be required to pay Rs 100 only as monthly rental charge for 18 months. “30 monthly free calls as applicable to any other limited mobile customer will also be available, states the release, “Thus, a customer is able to make a saving to the tune of Rs 6,500.”

UTL charges Rs 1 per minute for local calls to UTL as well as to Nepal Telecom and Rs 2 per minute for calls to Spice Mero Mobile networks.
