KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 25

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 820,285 on Thursday with 281 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 801,420 with 298 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,516 with three more fatalities.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,349 against 7,369 a day before.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 8,909 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,104 were PCR tests while 1,805 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,591,660 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 27 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 308.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

Currently, there are 103 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 78 cases in the country. Lalitpur is second in line with 36 cases while Morang has 19 cases today.

So far, a total of 17,521,523 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 9,367,789 have received the first dose while only 8,153,734 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.

Globally, over 259 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 5.19 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 234 million people have recovered while more than 19 million cases are still active.
