KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 18
The International Curriculum Association (ICA), a global education body supporting more than 1,000 schools across 90 countries, has appointed Diptee Acharya of Nepal as its Ambassador for Nepal and the Asia-Pacific region for the 2025–2026 term.
Acharya, Founder Director of Sanskriti International School in Kathmandu, will represent the ICA in Nepal and neighbouring countries, supporting educators implementing the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Her role will include mentoring schools, facilitating professional development and promoting best practices in international curriculum delivery.
The ICA said the appointment recognises Acharya's two decades of contribution to progressive education. Under her leadership, Sanskriti International School received International Primary Curriculum accreditation, which the institution claims was a first in South Asia. Sarah Blackmore, Director of the ICA, said Acharya's commitment to quality learning and her role in expanding international curricula in Nepal made her a suitable choice for the ambassadorial role.
Accepting the appointment, Acharya said the role reflects Nepal's growing presence in the global education landscape and expressed her intention to strengthen collaboration among schools in the region.
The ICA Ambassador programme selects experienced school leaders to advance its "Improving Learning" philosophy through curriculum support and leadership development.
