KATHMANDU, MAY 29

The government has allocated Rs 218.3 billion for the education sector in the upcoming fiscal year budget.

Presenting the budget in the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle said the allocation has increased by Rs 7 billion compared to the current fiscal year.

The budget also includes Rs 1 billion for mapping infrastructure needs of community schools across the country, according to the minister.
