Mid-West University is set to confer degrees on 1,928 students during its fourth convocation ceremony to be held on Wednesday.
The university will simultaneously organise its 18th Senate meeting, fourth convocation and 16th anniversary celebrations on Asar 3 (June 17).
According to Dr. Bishnu Kumar Khadka, coordinator of the publicity sub-committee for the convocation, 455 graduates have applied to participate in the ceremony.
The graduating cohort comprises 1,222 bachelor's degree students, 694 master's degree students and 12 PhD scholars from the university's seven graduate schools.
Dr. Khadka said the university has produced a total of 6,370 graduates to date.
The ceremony will be chaired by university Pro-Chancellor and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmita Pokharel, while educationist and former Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, Kedar Bhakta Mathema, will attend as the chief guest.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Narayan Prasad Poudel said the university assembly will also endorse income and expenditure reports and approve a proposed budget of Rs 1.49 billion for the fiscal year 2083/84.
