KATHMANDU: Have you started your Christmas shopping this year? If you haven’t (or even if you have) then we have the very thing for you — the AWON Christmas Bazaar.

To be held on December 2 at Hyatt Regency, this bazaar has everything that you are probably looking for this Christmas.

With around 100 stalls to be put up, one will have a choice galore. From local handicrafts, shawls, carpets and other goodies perfect for Christmas, AWON (Active Women of Nepal) Christmas Bazaar will be a one-stop shopping venue for you this year.

The Bazaar will cater to people of all age groups — children can have fun at the various games stalls and the hotel will be providing the catering service. Anyone wanting to show off their musical talent or other talents on stage can do so at the open auditorium at the venue.

Says Bhavna Rana, president of AWON, “We have been organising various fund raising events, and the money raised from this particular event will be used to train women and educate girl children.

AWON’s recent charity event was ‘An evening in Bollywood’, which was a huge hit with everyone who attended it. AWON provides scholarships to 300 girl children in the villages of Nepal apart from providing skills training to women.
